AMAG 24 MORQ
MORQ is an Italian office established in 2001 by Matteo Monteduro, Emiliano Roia and Andrea Quagliola, based in Italy and Australia.
Its work, ranges from small scale to large landscape and urban plans, with meaningful spaces within simple and thoughtful buildings, in dialogue with existing conditions. Whether natural or built, MORQ see constraints as a starting point for its design, rather than impediments to their creativity. Spaces intimate yet open, engage with shades of natural light, change throughout the day, activated by the emotive and sensorial qualities of materials.
AMAG 24 features 15 works, from built to unbuilt works, of small scale.
"There are memories of houses that seem to emerge from the earth. This is the architecture designed by MORQ. When we pass by, we can't understand what time it is, we feel something eternal and timeless."
Manuel Aires Mateus and Maria Rebelo Pinto
